“We’re sharing the space with other community groups,’ Landcare Chairperson, Chris Ormond said.
“The Bellingen Markets office is here, as well as CEL (Centre for Environmental Learning), BSLA (Bellingen Shire Learning Alliance), Oz Green and BCAC (The Bellingen Community Arts Centre ).
“It’s taken a couple of weeks out of our bush regeneration work to make the move but we’re now settled in and open to the public. Come in and see us!”
He said being just off Church Street’s cafe strip, in the car park behind the Ambulance Station, it was super easy to drop in between coffees.
The office is generally open on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You can also follow Bellinger Landcare Inc on Facebook or via their web page, www.bellingerlandcare.org.au.
All shire residents are invited to become members – you can do that on line.
We’re particularly interested to hear from landholders interested in improving the condition of their property. This also can be done on our website.
Watch out for these Spring garden escapees!
With Spring flowers everywhere, we ask the whole community to be aware that some common house or garden plants, such as Singapore Daisy, Asparagus Fern and Orange Trumpet Vine, not to mention exotic palms, can become weeds impacting our precious native flora and fauna.
