Raising money for their schools, local youngsters will again be busking in the streets on Saturday morning plus other events at local venues throughout the weekend, all of which are open to all with entry by gold coin donation (except some workshops).
This Saturday at 9am at the Memorial Hall you will be amazed at the talent of the young composer finalists of our Music-by-Youth Composer Slam. Then at 11am you can have brunch at Cedar Bar while listening to the Northern Sydney Symphonic Wind Ensemble (Intermediate) or perhaps lunch there with the junior Sydney Symphony Wind Ensemble at 12.45.
Song is a major part of the Fringe program …
We all know that Bellingen loves singing and three of our accomplished a capella ensembles will be performing this year.
Sohum Women’s Choir and Bromantics will perform at St Margaret’s Anglican Church on Saturday at 11.30. Then 11 th Hour wil pick up the vocal baton, performing on Sunday at St Andrew’s at 10am and Akabella at the same venue at 1.15pm.
And if you want to hone your musical skills, there are workshops aplenty with Festival performers: guitar with Karin Schaupp, percussion with Taikoz Quartet, saxophone with Sandy Evans as well as composition with Paul Jarman.
