Our speakers this month were View Club members Di Ginis and Jeanette Gosschalk, who talked about their hobby of patchwork quilting which they have enjoyed for many years.
It was breathtaking so see their wonderful quilts which were like works of art and we all admired their intricate needlework, colours and patterns.
Especially admired were the quilts made on behalf of “Aussie Hero Quilts”, an organisation which sends individually designed handmade quilts to Aussie soldiers currently serving overseas.
Congratulations to all who supported our street stall on September 8. It was a great success and the lucky winner of our raffle was Miriam Hourne.
There is an outing to the Bunker Cartoon Gallery in Coffs Harbour on October 3, followed by a luncheon at Chill Out Café. If you would like to attend please phone Anne Epstein on 6655 9073.
VIEW provides women with the opportunity to meet regularly with other women, establish lasting friendships and help disadvantaged Australian children through supporting the work of children’s charity The Smith Family.
