Key ideas were taken from Robert Kiyosaki's book Rich Dad Poor Dad.
The students chose water filters as the product to sell because they create better health, few people have them and they are rarely seen being marketed.
The class was offered the opportunity to market water filters through a national company called Pure Water Systems. Every sale attracts a 10 per cent commission to the school.
Pure Water Systems used their own in-house resources to design a unique Facebook page through which the students can market their products.
The students upload onto the Facebook page examples of their own research into the benefit of water filters and offer commentary with anyone who will blog with them.
