History was made when Tina McRae from the Women’s League team became the first female to be awarded the Stephen Glyde medal for Player of the Year. Tina had a stellar season being the Group 2 Highest Try Scorer and Point Scorer. Tina crossed for 22 tries and kicked 1 goal over the season and was a threat in every game she played.
No doubt Tina will be at the forefront of a women’s tackle team that the Magpies are putting together to play in a competition starting in a few weeks time. Any interested players are welcome to join the team. Training begins on Tuesday September 18 at Bellingen Park, 6pm.
