The Coffs Coast Dragon Boat Club is inviting all those interested in trying the exciting sport of dragon boating to a Come & Try Day to be held on the Bellingen River at Mylestom on Saturday September 22.

Despite dragon boating being an ancient Chinese sport dating back to 400BC, today it is considered to be the world’s most popular water sport and the ultimate team sport. Dragon boating works the upper body, legs, core muscles and depending on the intensity of the training burns up about 350 calories per hour. It is represented in over 35 different countries and attracts participants of all ages and fitness levels.
If you would like to improve your fitness, do more exercise or simply take up a new activity where you can meet new people arrive at the boat ramp in River Street, Mylestom near the North Beach Recreation Club at 8.30am for 9am start. All equipment will be supplied on the Come & Try Day and morning tea will be served after the paddling session.
