This weekend Queensland's Linda Rago offers the opportunity to enhance your health through two discovery workshops in Bellingen, at Bellingen Yoga Studio. 

Over the last 15 years, Linda says she realised healing outcomes are enhanced or limited by the way we breathe, and the way we think.

"Breathing affects the condition of all your vital organs and structure, your blood and chemistry, your movement, behaviour, mood, energy levels, fluid dynamics and posture.

“Your capacity to adapt to challenge, resolve pain, effectively rest and repair is affected by your breathing efficiency and frequency," said Linda.

On Saturday, Linda will explore a range of breathing techniques, with reference to current research. Participants will receive the opportunity to learn and practise a range of breathing methods. 

Then on Sunday, she will explore the concept principles behind yoga and how to practice them. 

"Yoga is often taught primarily to enhance our movement and physical wellbeing – with little direct instruction on our mental and emotional habits (thoughts, words, behaviours and actions).  Yoga stretches and postural habits are either limited or enhanced by our understanding of these principles,” said Linda.

The five principles are:

  1. Unconditional Gratitude (Kansha)
  1.  Attitude of Repentance (Zange)
  1. Humility (Geza)
  1. Service (Hoshi)
  1. Love In Action (Aigyo).

Linda says participants will learn "how to practice these principles in daily life to enhance life, as an entry point to study yoga, or as a stimulating way to enhance existing yoga practices."

Linda Rago is a vivacious Yoga Teacher, Shiatsu Therapist, and Educator, with training in India, Japan and Italy.

She has taught thousands of Beach Yoga classes on North Stradbroke Island and runs two shiatsu clinics (Stradbroke Island and Stanthorpe).
