The whole 2018 season has been successful for the Braves, with six teams qualifying for finals in Tamworth over the weekend.
The Mens 14s Division 2 also won their grand final against Armidale 59-23, so they are champions also.
The Mens 12s Division 2 played Lismore 50-38 and the Womens 16s Division 1 played against Byron 48-46, and both are runners up.
The Mens 18s and Womens 18s lost their semi-finals against Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour in a very tight game. Our Mens 16s Division 2 didn’t qualify for finals but had a fantastic season.
All our players and coaches have worked hard all year with three teams 18m, 16w and 14m entering Country Championship League for the first time in the club’s history. With ten teams in total this has been an amazing journey for all involved.
Our teams endured some hard knocks, tough games and injuries throughout but the experiences of mateship, teamwork, encouragement and sportsmanship is what basketball is about and along with having respect both on and off the court is what makes Bellinger Braves successful each year.
