Coordinator Rob Stockton said the figures were a fantastic surprise.

“We are always ready for a massive response on the first day,” he said, “but there were 19 enrolments between midnight and 1am and 152 bookings in the first 24 hours.

“It’s great to see that even after 33 years Camp Creative is still as relevant and popular as it was when Bill Lockley started the first camp in 1985.”

The familiar terracotta-coloured brochure can now be found at many locations around the shire.

Coordinator Michelle Stockton said one of her favourite things was taking brochures to local retailers, art galleries, clubs and information centres all over the shire.

“The community are incredibly supportive, and it builds excitement about another magic Bello event,” she said.

Look for the Camp Creative stand at Welcome Park on the Saturday and Sunday of the Bello Winter Music Festival.

Brochures and the new 2019 t-shirt designed by local artist Cate Edwards will be available.
