The final of the major triples played last week resulted in a convincing win 24 to 10 for Ros Hancock, Elaine Cameron (skipper) and Lorraine Carlon against Helen Fisher, Lynne Tarrant and Jo Bathgate. All players are to be congratulated on the high standard of bowls throughout the match but Elaine's team shot to the front in the early stages and were never headed.

Also played last week was the O' Callaghan Cup and the excited winners were Brenda Fane, Gloria Christian and Isabel Pettit with 52 points closely followed by Lynne Tarrant, Chris Buntine and Lorraine Carlon on 51. The teams for the Cup are club selected but it would appear that Gloria has a particular fondness for having her name inscribed on it, this being the third successive year she has been in the winning team.
Be sure to note in your diaries that meetings will be held after bowls on Thursday July 5 and those taking up office are asked to wear their club uniform.
Entries for the minor singles close at 9am on July 12 and play starts on July 17.
