In the Entwined exhibition members of the Fibre Arts Network employ their hands and hearts to illuminate the many aspects of this interconnectedness using the medium of one of the most ancient forms of expression fibre. The exhibition is open daily 10am to 4pm until June 22 at the NEXUS Gallery in the Old Butter Factory at Bellingen.
The Fibre Artists Network, (FAN) was formed in 2001, commencing with a few friends who extended invitations to other fibre workers to become involved, since then membership hovers around the 20 mark, all of us residing along the Mid North Coast.
The aims and objectives of the group are to work in a contemporary style, exchange ideas, support each other, conduct workshops and to exhibit their work regularly , promoting a level of confidence that will enable members to exhibit in a professional context.
