Bellinger Valley North Beach Surf Club hadn’t hosted a surf carnival for close to 20 years so it was a very big day for the club.
While there was one postponement earlier in the month due to rough conditions, the event got the green light and was able to run on March 18.
The weather was perfect, the ocean was warm and pumped up for competition.
The carnival was attended by surf clubs up and down the Mid North Coast with competition open from Nippers up to over 18s.
It was a huge day for the club, hosting hundreds of people, operating patrols, water safety for events and manning food stalls.
Congratulations to all the competitors and volunteers who made the day a great success.
