The UK band is known for its own highly original songs as well as blistering renditions of bluegrass classics.
The five young musicians, Kirk Bowman (banjo), Mikey Ponsford (mandolin), Josh Warner (guitar), Danny Hart (fiddle) and Liam Fitzharris (double bass), have honed their skills in hundreds of live performances over the past six years, charming and wowing audiences along the way.
From their humble beginning busking in Penzance as 17 year-olds they now perform at the Proms in Hyde Park, London and at scores of festivals throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe.
In April 2017, on their first Australian tour, they delighted audiences at the National Folk Festival, Canberra and Fairbridge Music Festival, WA, and were invited to the home of Bluegrass, the USA, to represent the UK in the International Bluegrass Music Association’s “World of Bluegrass" in September 2017.
Now they are returning to Australia for a longer tour that includes the National Folk Festival again, the Blue Mountains Music Festival, plus a number of other dates including Dorrigo.
They will be launching a brand new CD, The Bluegrass Album' full of traditional bluegrass numbers, "the material we grew up with and still perform to this day!"
The Old Gazette Theatre is a comfortable and welcoming venue and there will be coffee, tea and delicious cakes available during intermission. This event is $30 and bookings are essential.
