“The focal point of the most recent renovations, has been to give our local community a fresh and modern venue in the area for when looking for a place to hold a celebration, function or have a nice meal.”
“We want to offer patrons live entertainment and refreshments in a comfortable modern setting and I feel we have really delivered.” Mr Black said.
“We have rendered the outside of the club house in colourbond june, which is a shade of grey and it has really brought the building back to life from the blonde-faced brick look of the 60s.
Updates include; fresh paint to the interior walls in calm earthy tones, a stand-out teal feature wall and new carpet in a fresh new swirl design, that has interior looking fresh and new.
The gaming area has been updated, and when you choose a table, you will notice the all new natural timber furniture in an earthy oak colour and we have purchased some really comfortable seating to complete the new interior updates.
There haven’t been any major changes to the floor plan or structure of the building, so you will still find the bar and your food in the same convenient location.
Minor structural improvements have been undertaken in the building, most guests won’t notice those changes, however the teal feature wall will certainly take your eye.
“We have had many great compliments in line with our new renovations from our valued club members and local patrons.
“There has been so much positive feedback, it’s been really amazing.
“Some members have said the updates are long overdue but it has been a long process to be able to plan all of this and bring the whole idea to fruition.” Mr Black said.

- Kempsey Heights CEO Kerr Black
“Since I came on board in the position of CEO in August 2015, we have been constantly talking about updating the club.
“The planning process and implementation of all these extensive plans has taken around 18 months to see progress, but I am very happy with the renovations now being complete.
“There are still future plans to refresh the bistro menu and make a few inside minor changes but the club has been brought up to date and into line with the times and is now a great modern venue providing refreshments, a meal and live entertainment.
“It is very modern now and will be the perfect place to hold functions and to celebrate special occasions for all locals and club members.
“We have around 2000 members now at the Kempsey Heights Bowling club, for those interested in joining annual social membership is $10 for the year.
“We are really proud of the renovations and hope that all our valued club members, patrons and their families enjoy what the club now has to offer.
“The function room is refreshed as well in line with the earthy colour scheme and is an ideal setting for any family function. The club has three bowling greens to enjoy, two that are synthetic and environmentally friendly, it’s a place members can feel proud to bring family and friends.
“We invite you to come down to the club and see the changes. We welcome new members all year round” Mr Black said.
