The dishes offered at Minky’s in Dorrigo will leave your mouth watering for more, using thai herbs, lemongrass, kaffir and thai basil to create traditional dishes inspired by Thai family tradition.
A new featured dish, the crispy skin pork belly stir fry with fresh thai vegetables and egg noodles has become a hit with customers.
Minky’s is now dishing up steamed pork and seafood wontons with soy inspired dipping sauce, offered as a tempting entree.
Try the raved about mud crab pad char, a fresh wok fried Queensland mud crab with green peppercorns, thai herbs, kafa limes leaves and chilli or the crispy oven roasted pork belly stir fry with ginger paste, green beans and capsicum.
Minky’s masterful chef, Surajit Wangwan, also known as Minky, as a young girl was taught the ways of traditional Thai cooking by helping her mother, Dwong in the kitchen back in Thailand.
This sparked Minky’s interest in cooking way back then in childhood, with many of the dishes featured on the restaurant menu today, home inspired and lovingly prepared using herbs that Minky used to grow in her home garden back in Thailand.
Using traditional herbs and fresh ingredients, the knowledge having been passed down to her from previous generations by family, help make the whole experience at Minky’s something extra special and unique.
