Also serving as a fundraiser, this eclectic eight-hour concert will help the station continue to deliver quality content and music to the shire. Showcasing the diverse range of music our creative community has to offer, you’ll hear and see everything from reggae to funk, bush folk to blues, electronic to acoustic, punk and a whole bunch more.
Among the acts to feature on Saturday are Juicebox, a five-piece outfit from Bundagen who deliver a fusion of funk, soul, roots and more. Then there’s Drama King, Bellingen’s own dub and reggae dons delivering messages of hope and love through a packed stage of high energy musicians.
Among the other amazing locals are singer/songrwriter Joe Newton, punk rockers The Nikki Websters, bush heroes Tallowood, the lively DJ Joelism (and friends), the wordsmith Wyldcard and the 2BBB All Stars.
The evening will also include a spread of food and refreshments from both 2BBB FM and Rainbow Chai. Local artist Trina Sydee will also be doing live painting to the sounds of the evening
Live and Direct is an all-ages event. Tickets are available on the door, and are $15 for adults, $10 for students, concessions and pensioners and free for kids under 12.
So come down to the Memorial Hall from 4pm Saturday afternoon, and explore some of the funky sounds the Bellingen Shire has to offer.
