Owner of Hearthfire Bakery, Dave Larson has just returned from a trip to Melbourne with his Swiss pastry chef Maxence Juchli.
Dave and Maxence travelled to the culinary capital in search of the perfect croissant, with plans to compare his much raved about pastry delights with some of the best in the country.
Of all the French and Italian patisseries in Melbourne city, only two came close to the crunch and flakiness that Dave has come to expect from these delightful french creations.
With customers compliments such as “Better than the ones I tasted in France” and “The very best in Australia.”
Dave is certain he is offering the best quality baked goods to his customers and for that he is extremely proud.
Hearthfire Bakery now uses more local produce than ever before and enjoy supporting the local fresh fruit and vegetable suppliers of their region.
Several new apprentices have also joined the Hearthfire Bakery team with Sarah Hoad and Ruby Mitchell coming aboard in their 1st and 2nd year of culinary learning.
The chef also dishes up middle eastern cuisine, freshly made falafels created from scratch with all raw and fresh ingredients.
Judge their croissants for yourself or try a falafel, visit 73 Hyde Street, Bellingen.
