A man will face court next month after an alleged road rage incident in Coffs Harbour yesterday.

About 7.30pm (Tuesday 12 December 2017), two off-duty officers were travelling along the Pacific Highway between Woolgoolga and Coffs Harbour when they allegedly observed a motorist driving erratically and threatening other motorists with a knife.
When stationary at traffic lights it is alleged the male driver got out of his car and threatened the occupants of another car with a knife.
The two off-duty officers approached the armed man and identified themselves, attempting to speak to him.
It is alleged that the armed man assaulted one of the officers.
The 40-year-old man was arrested after a brief struggle.
He was taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station where he was charged with menacing driving, wielding a knife and affray.
The man was granted conditional bail and will appear in Coffs Harbour Local Court on 22 January 2018.
