Held at the Bellingen Showground, inbetween a couple of thundery downpours, the crowds came and came, seeking gifts among the stalls laden with local crafts, pottery, jewellery, soaps, candles, clothes, furniture, baby toys, Christmas treats … the list goes on.
It was a day for the ‘artisans’ themselves to shine, to show off all their hard work … months of tinkering, sweating, laughing and cursing, making their extraordinary pieces.
First time stallholder (at this venue), Betty Ross of Windsong Chimes said the markets had a great vibe and a fabulous atmosphere.
“It was really fun … lots of people, lots of stalls, our chimes sold well,” Betty said.
Like all markets, these ones have grown over the last few years but their uniqueness remains and being an annual event, there was that special buzz of fresh-faced stallholders making a special outing.
