Tyronne Roberts-Davis, who made his debut for NRL side the Gold Coast Titans last season, strapped tape around his wrist and wrote the name Baylin in memory of his friend.
Tyronne’s action showed he and others won’t forget about their friend, Baylin.
The tribute meant the world to Baylin’s mother Hayley, that he is still on the mind of his friends.
What were the challenges in writing this story:
The challenges faced with writing the story was providing the tribute with the justice it deserved.
It was a simple act from Tyronne but the message behind it meant a lot to Hayley and it would to the rest of his family, friends and other who can relate to the story.

It’s also involves a subject which affects everyone in someway but hopefully the story provided people with an understanding that there’s always someone who cares.
What kind of stories do you love to tell:
This story definitely fits into the category of articles I love to write. A boy from the local community had worked hard to fulfill his dream of reaching the NRL and despite achieving the success, he didn’t forget about his hometown community.
It’s a story with a lot of emotion and community involvement.
Most people would be able to relate to this story in some way. I hope Tyronne’s act proved to the audience and anyone who might be struggling, that even though you may feel no one cares, someone always does.
