Business houses, clubs, schools, social groups and neighbours are invited to register a community crew for an exciting day of total fun - the annual Coffs Coast Dragon Boat regatta to be held on Sunday, September 17.
Dragon boat paddling is easy which is why it has become one of the world’s fastest growing water sports. It’s a great way to build team spirit, make new friends and promote your company name as you and your colleagues hurtle down the river for 200 metres, to the beat of the traditional Chinese drum.
What a great social day for your friends or company and one you’ll all talk about for a long time to come.
To form a team 16 – 20 paddlers over 12 years are needed. The teams are mixed teams of men & women. Junior or school team paddlers must be between 12 – 18 years. The entry fee is only $30 per adult and $15 per junior.
All community teams will receive two free training sessions including one compulsory safety session prior to the regatta day and all equipment will be supplied.
Races will commence on Sunday, September 17 from 8am. Winners will be announced and prizes presented around 3pm. Food, drinks and coffee will be available all day.
Talk to your friends and enter a crew today. It’s a great day for spectators too.
Places are limited to 12 crews so hurry! Don’t miss out.
