A recent dinner concert, hosted at the Old Butter Factory Café, brought together ex-Mouza restaurant owner, Avi Shaul, and internationally acclaimed local songwriter STAV to host a night of fun, food and music, with proceeds being donated toward the cost of music equipment for the Bello Youth HUB.
Coordinator of the HUB, Dean Besley, said he is constantly amazed by the kind-heartedness of the Bellingen community.
“We have a large number of young people who use the music room here at the centre, but are either just learning or don’t quite have the resources to have their own equipment,” Dean said.
“This donation will enable us to get a piano and some specialist gear that the kids can use, either here, or at other community gigs like open mic nights.
“A huge thank you to Avi, Hannah, STAV and Pia and Ray from The Old Butter Factory for their wonderful support. It will really make a difference.”
