Member for Oxley, Melinda Pavey said Dorrigo Hospital will benefit from this very significant capital injection – it will deliver a range of improvements for core services.
“Funding of nearly $315,000 has been allocated under the NSW Government’s Rural Minor Works Program to complete the refurbishment and upgrade of the existing primary health care building to accommodate medical and specialist services,” she said.
“The project will also see the refurbishment of two office spaces for use by external agencies including HETI and ACI.
“This means that on completion, the Dorrigo Multi-Purpose Service will have a dedicated space for visiting specialist, out-reach allied health and other service providers.
“These works and measures will ensure that the Dorrigo Hospital can continue to serve the plateau community and it has an ongoing integral role in the local health network,” Mrs Pavey said.
