The Writers Programme targets budding writers and future journalists and is suitable for ages 10+.
Day 1 – Imaginative Story writing from a real life event
Day 2 – Mysterious clues and daring detectives.. a page of gripping mystery presented and a chance to finish the story yourselves
Day 3 – “Funtastic” Animal Tales – imagine a world full of mythical creatures
Day 4 – Future Fiction..what will the world be like – you the student be the creator
Day 5 – Stop the Press! Create a newspaper together with interviews, news stories, feature writing
Every day there will be a different approach to developing writing skills to keep students excited, interested and motivated.
“Attendees at last year’s course were full of praise and they took giant leaps in their writing skills,” Michelle said.
Presenters Liz Ginis and Pip Macken have between them many years of professional experience as newspaper. magazine and digital writers and editors. Liz spent 10 years with Australian Geographic and is involved in creative writing workshops for children and Liz is a published and well known children’s book writer.
