The Bellingen comeback began with a five-run rally in the top of the third inning. Jon Lowe's long double sparked the rally.
After the Bluesox scored twice to increase their lead to 9-5, the Diggers rallied again, overcoming base running gaffes to score three more runs. J.P. van Schie's two-out, two-run single was the key blow.
The Bluesox again replied with two runs to extend their lead to 11-8, before the Diggers mounted their final rally, pushing five runs across the plate to grab a 13-11 lead. Scott Hansen, Lowe, Nate Dailey and van Schie had run-scoring hits.
With one final chance to retake the lead, the Bluesox loaded the bases with two out, but Hansen finished things off with a strikeout to seal the win.
In the A grade encounter that followed, the Bluesox jumped out again to an early 10-2 lead. But there was not Bellingen comeback, as rain brought an early end to the game.
The Diggers will take on the league-leading Sawtell Dodgers this coming Saturday.
