Joey Schreenan was at his exciting best crumbing the ball and adding some real danger around the forward line including a great goal. Hamish Perrot played an amazing game including a brilliant “dusty” and a fabulous goal from the forward pocket.
Jude Quinn and Issac Malt worked hard all day controlling the ball in the air and driving it into the forward line creating opportunities.
Max Aldred was welcomed back after an injury and slotted straight back into the team adding some really good ball use. James Hetherington was back to his best with some amazing pressure and brilliant tackling. Rory Partington and Angus Spillane were rock solid in defence and Rory was unlucky not to score multiple goals when moved forward handing off one to a player in the goal square. Harrison Lee, Jay Payne and Kyan Upsall worked really hard all day and gave it their all.
Under 13s
The U13s made the trip north to take on the Grafton tigers. The game was played in wet and muddy conditions which made ball control difficult and increased skill errors, it was a tight tussles all day with Grafton taking a 3 point lead at halftime, but the final half was all the Bulldogs winning the game by more than 10 points at the siren. Kyan Upsall was outstanding kicking 2 last quarter goals as was Jarrah Clarke holding up a strong Bellingen defence. It was a great win by the team.
