Whether you are a seasoned grant writer or new to the world of funding, the workshops have something for you. The workshops will cover a number of topics including but not limited to:
- An introduction to grants and grant writing
- How to access funding
- What you need to know about funding and making an application
- Where to start
- How to write an application
- Tips and tricks when making an application
- Partnerships
The workshops will also include practical writing skills to give individuals and organisations a better chance at success.
Council’s General Manager, Liz Jeremy said the reliance on funding from outside sources is becoming more and more prevalent.
“Knowing what is available, how to access funds as well as improving one’s grant writing skills will provide organisations with the necessary tools to help them improve their chances of success when applying for grant funding,” Ms Jeremy said.
“The workshops will benefit all levels from the beginner to those more seasoned grant writers and I encourage groups to attend.”
Community groups or individuals wanting to know more about grants and funding, or who want to polish up on their grant writing skills, are encouraged to register for one or more workshops.
Anyone interested in attending a workshop can register by going to Bellingen Council’s Create website at http://create.bellingen.nsw.gov.au/.
Workshops will be held in Bellingen, Dorrigo and Urunga at various times between July 4 – 25.
Registrations are now open and will close on Wednesday, June 28. Venues are limited so please ensure you register to guarantee your place.
