The theme for this year’s National Palliative Care Week is “You matter, your care matters. palliative care can make a difference”.
National Palliative Care week is supported by the Department of Health and Mid North Coast Local Health District, and aims to raise awareness and understanding about palliative care in the Australian community.
Members of the Bellingen community are invited to attend the Community Palliative Care Night on Friday 26 May at the Bellingen Memorial Hall. The free event will include information about palliative care, a performance by the Sohum Choir, guest speakers and a play performed by the Bellingen Health Campus Palliative Care Team.
There will also be a memorial ceremony held at St Margaret’s Anglican Church on Monday 23 May to remember and honour the lives of all patients of the Bellingen Health Campus Palliative Care Unit.
