The organisers of the Bellingen Show Pavilion want to see your creative interpretation of a tea cosy – in any medium – in the People’s Choice Competition.
“The idea is quite simple. Make a tea cosie in any medium your imagination can conjure up”, says Mary Moody, Show Pavilion volunteer.
She just knows Bellingen’s creative community will produce some delightful entries in this category and looks forward to receiving yours.
Open to all ages and the prize is $80!
Cinema Pass Prizes for kids
Who wants to win tickets to their latest favourite movie? These are some of the prizes in the children’s competition categories – thanks to Majestic Cinemas in Sawtell.
Majestic Cinemas’ Jessica Grace says, “this our first year as a major sponsor of Bellingen Show, and we’re excited to be building a stronger connection with our local community through it”.
So what category would Jessica enter if she were a child.
“I would enter the mongrel dog competition with my kelpie,” she said.
“Just like the movie, we are best friends. He also has some special tricks: sitting on command, shaking hands, and ringing desk bells on command!”
Champion Event: Junior Paraders
Parade your cattle in the Junior Paraders event, and you could WIN $200 in cash, thanks to major sponsor, Warren Weick Real Estate!
Entrants will be judged on their ability to parade animals, the attire of the parader, leading equipment and the appearance of the animal.
Warren and Julie Weick are locally born and bred, and believe in giving back to the community.
“It’s a very important part of our lives,” Warren said.
“And we wanted to encourage young students to participate and try their best while learning all aspects of showing cattle at a local level. After all, these young students are our future.”
