A group of talented young hockey ladies have been in training for an exciting 12 days of tough hockey from the 21st to the 30th of April.
These spritely women will be representing Coffs Harbour in the world’s largest multi-sport event held every four years.
Their talent spreads across three associations including the Coffs Coast, Grafton and Armidale with competition and camaraderie being equally celebrated.
The girls will experience open and closing ceremonies showcasing New Zealand's culture, hockey against mature players all over the world with food and entertainment that will leave thousands of sporting fanatics with a lifetime of memories.
The team representatives are; Rowan Coombes (Manager) Rhiarn Freeman (Coach) Marg Hope, Karen Briscoe, Alex Parks, Kirsty Netzler, Kerry Dixon, Libby Welldon, Lucy Downey, Lynda Stilgoe, Megan Davis, Roxanne Watt, Tracey Winfer, Vanessa Machon, Chrissy Haslem.
With the excitement come the expenses and through huge fundraising efforts and generous local businesses, the team is incredibly grateful.

With Gold on their minds, the girls fly out Wednesday the 19th of April and will undoubtedly do our Hockey Associations proud.
