There is a lot of information below for various funding opportunities ranging from events to infrastructure and maintenance to social/community and disability projects.
Managers of Crown parks and reserves, Crown caravan and state parks, commons and showgrounds (including freehold) and schools of arts (including freehold) are able to apply for maintenance/upgrades/general development as well as pest and weeds. Third party organisations can also apply for funding, but must obtain a letter of authority from the reserve manager supporting their application. Successful applications to the PRMFP in recent years have ranged from $500 to $2,000,000. Applications close 5pm Friday 24 March.
This program supports participation in, and access to, the arts including events. Funding amounts are not limited but must show value for money, have realistic budgets, deliver regional outcomes and deliver a diverse range of quality projects. There are generally two funding rounds each year in March and September. Closes 24 March.
The Support, Unity and Partnership programs are all open. Closes 28 February.
Supports small communities of 10,000 population or less. Funding up to $5,000. This fund is very diverse and supports a large range of projects. Closes 31 March.
Funding is between $100,000 and $300,000 – closes 10 March
- Contribute to reducing disadvantage faced by the unemployed and/or other disadvantaged groups
- Support the availability and/or sustainability of employment and training opportunities
- Enhance community support services and/or build community capacity
The fund closes 10 March.
Supports a range of different projects that support the needs of the local community ranging from sports clubs to community gardens and everything in between. Due to open this Thursday 22 February.
Greater Charitable Foundation (DGR Status is required)
The Foundation’s two key priority areas is families and communities and for a large range of projects ranging from social inclusion, health and wellbeing, jobs and education, safety, youth, community capacity, etc.
Applications close 20 March.
The Mercy Foundation offers a Social Justice Small Grants Program once a year. Small grants are provided for a range of social justice and community initiatives and are not limited to a focus on homelessness. Funding under this program ranges between $1000 to $10,000 per organisation.
The Social Justice Small Grants program is only available to Non Profit organisations. Priority will be given to small organisations and those groups that receive no other funding.
Priority may also be given to projects that target disadvantaged women and/or women with children, regardless of the annual social justice focus. Grant applications may be made for areas other than ageing. Closes 27 March.
Applications close 2pm on 8 March 2017.
The NDIA will accept applications for ILC National Readiness grants in the following two Activity Areas described in the ILC Policy:
- Activity Area Two - Capacity building for mainstream services; and
- Activity Area Three - Community awareness and capacity building
With activities that:
- reduce duplication of effort and/or demonstrate effective and efficient outcomes for people with disability with opportunity to scale or transfer to other areas; and
- inform the development of models of good practice, including at the national level, to deliver ILC outcomes.
