The 2017 YMCA Swimathon aims to raise money to support local people with disability to have access to swimming lessons and be able to enjoy the water safely.
In 2016, more than 6000 participants and supporters Australia-wide raised over $311,200 to support people with disabilities to learn to swim and be safe around water.
The 2017 YMCA Swimathon will be held over the weekend of 4-5 March at over 60 YMCA-managed centres across Australia with the goal of raising $390,000.
People can swim, kick, paddle, sponsor or donate to raise money. More info can be found: www.ymcaswimathon.org.au
