Sharon Whitewood posted on Bellingen Courier Sun Facebook: He was on Bucca road off the Pacific Highway north of Coffs Harbour about two weeks ago. Very hot day.
On the Manning River Times Facebook page Poppa Jock posted: Visited John two times when he was near Gloucester - took him Christmas lunch in 2015 at bottom of Giro then a week or so later near Dungog turn off , awesome gentleman.
Adam Thurling added: As an interstate truck driver I have seen him several times in the last 25 years and only as recent as last saturday (February 4) at Pembroke heading toward Wauchope.
On the Macleay Argus Facebook page Michelle Fuller wrote: My husband and I met John walking along the old Pacific Highway just out of Frederickton on February 1. We gave him a frozen bottle of water, can of Coke, icy pole, muesli bars, chips and cheese n biscuits. He was happy to see the cold stuff as it was a really hot day.
My husband is a truck driver and sees John all the time either on the Pacific Highway going north or south or heading out west towards Tamworth.
