NSW Crown Holiday Parks Trust (NSWCHPT) CEO Steve Edmonds said high occupancy numbers over the Christmas and New Year holiday showed that holidaymakers are increasingly looking for a quintessential Australian holiday experience.
“As a whole we were pleased to see that guest numbers have risen significantly and that people are increasingly deciding to spend their holiday period at our parks,” Mr Edmonds said.
“The Christmas break saw record numbers staying at all parks in the Trust’s portfolio, with many at full capacity throughout the festive season.
“We were particularly excited about occupancy over the Christmas week at NCHP Seal Rocks, which saw a 20 percent rise when compared to the same period last year. Other parks in the region such as Scotts Head, North Beach and Bonny Hills also saw significant increases of up to 10 percent in guest numbers over the holiday period, demonstrating the desirability of the parks within our portfolio.
“2017 will be a big year for our parks, with a number of significant capital works projects in the pipeline. We also invest back into local communities and maintain a number of popular public recreation reserves for people to enjoy.
“Our commitment to park guests and local communities shows who we are as an organisation, transforms regions where our parks are situated and also leads to guest numbers rising even further. It is fair to say that you should watch this space.”
NCHP is operated by NSWCHPT, which manages the operations of 36 coastal and inland holiday parks and a number of recreational reserves on Crown land throughout NSW. The Trust also incorporates South Coast Holiday Parks and Inland Waters Holiday Parks.
