Local community artists Fiona McAuley and Lisa Kelly collaborated to design, create and install the mosaic immediately in front of the Uncle Tom Kelly memorial stone on the western side of the Park.
The mosaic is a colourful aquatic themed design created by Lisa Kelly in honour of Uncle Tom. The mosaic was produced with both funded and volunteer labour on the recommendation of Bellingen Shire Council’s Arts and Cultural Advisory Committee and adds a different artistic feature to the existing sculptures in the park.
The Park is a popular venue for residents and visitors and mayor Dominic King invites everyone to come and view the mosaic which adds colour and beauty both to the Uncle Tom Kelly memorial and the Park itself.
