Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the robbery of a club in Macksville last night.

About 10pm (Wednesday 8 December 2016), a 60-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman commenced closing procedures at a club on Cooper Street when four men, two armed with knives, smashed the rear glass doors and gained entry.
Two of the men forced the two staff members into the office area and demanded access to the safe where they stole an amount of cash. A purse was also taken from the female staff member containing her mobile phone.
All four men, who were wearing gloves and balaclavas, left the hotel and were last seen running down Princess Street.
Police were called and a crime scene was established inside the hotel that was examined by detectives.
