Musical director and Repton resident, Mei Wei Lim, said she has been diligently planning the music program since January.
“About 40 other performers all donate their talents and time to this very special Christmas event,” Mei said.
“The musicians include some of the most talented in the region, as well as some travelling from Maclean, Newcastle and Sydney.”

Mei said the night begins with performances from our local Stepping Stones and Urunga Pre Schools, and Urunga Public School.
“There will then be a host of solo and ensemble items (including children's performers The Giggles) featuring traditional and lesser-known but equally beautiful Christmas carols, culminating in two finale items, when all the soloists (in evening gowns and tuxedos) will return to the stage to join together in song,” She said.
“As the final note resounds, the fireworks display will mark the end of this very joyous celebration of this very important event, Christmas.
“I am proud to announce that the evening’s music is of the highest quality – it will inspire, delight and move anyone who listens.
“So pack a picnic, organise your family and friends, and come along to this free community event which is developing a well-deserved reputation for being one of the best Christmas events in the land!”
Carols Urunga is on December 17.
