Urunga Public School’s theme for this year’s sculpture, The Bluebird of Happiness, was a wonderful way to get each child and their family to think about what happiness means for them.

Each family was issued with a strip of recycled cardboard and asked to write on it what happiness means for them. They then cut their cardboard into the shape of a leaf and decorated it. They were also asked to tie a piece of recycled string onto the leaf.
These leaves were then attached to our branches and these branches became the resting place for our Bluebird of Happiness.
Elisabeth Davidson created the beautiful bluebird from recycled materials. The Sculpture in the Park event will be happening on Sunday, January 15 at Urunga.
