Helen Fisher, Jo Bathgate and Lynne Tarrant were a very excited trio when they took out the open triples at the South West Rocks carnival while Urunga bowlers scooped the pool at the Nambucca Heads Hibiscus Pairs filling first, second and third places.
Well done Elaine Cameron and Ros Hancock, the first Urunga bowlers to win this carnival since its inauguration in 1981. Second place went to Sylvia Mitchell and Colleen Katen while Brenda Fane and Shirley Willis came in third.
Kerry Clayton and Sally Welsh were on form to win their semi-final match defeating Janette Banks and Ros Hancock 18/10.
The match of the day in the Consistency competition was between Izzy Pettit who reached 150 just a shot before Helen Fisher with the final result 150 each. Shirley Willis defeated Bev Cloake 155/105; Lynne Tarrant defeated Beryl Titmuss 156/94; Margaret Baldwin defeated Brenda Fane 152/142.
Please get your names in for the mixed presentation day to be held on Saturday, November 12 with bowls starting at 10am followed by a barbecue lunch and presentations. Cost for the day, whether playing bowls or not, is $5 which should be paid ASAP.
