Flood waters rise rapidly in Bellingen and residents in North Bellingen become isolated and depending on the height of the river some may experience different levels of water on their properties.

During this coming weekend (October 21-23) your local SES volunteers will be undertaking a letter box drop inviting those households who may experience water on their properties to an Emergency Planning Workshop and afternoon tea from 2 to 4pm at the showground luncheon pavilion on October, Saturday 29.

Technical experts from Grafton SES regional headquarters will be present to discuss what happens during a flood, how it may affect you and your property and provide an opportunity for you to tell us how you manage and what you do during a flood. 

SES will have information for you to take home and maps to show you what happens during a flood.
