THIS Saturday the much loved Spring Plant Fair will be held in Market Park from 8am - 2pm and it promises to bigger and better than ever before.
It is expected that there will be up to 90 growers from across the region showcasing a huge variety of plants from shrubs, fruit-bearing trees, orchids and natives to succulents and bromeliads.
“It is just the most magic atmosphere,” said Carla Bower, plant fair coordinator.
“The park is transformed into a very large, fragrant garden with so many plants and trees on offer at such reasonable prices. There is a special plant for everyone to take home.”
The main aim of the plant fair is to spread the love of plants and to foster a deeper appreciation of gardening. This popular fair draws more than 2000 people to Bellingen from as far as Port Macquarie who come for the blooms, music and fresh food. They also come for the wealth of horticultural information from growers and experts about weed control and weed saving.

“The two plant fairs held in Autumn and Spring make for a busy day in town with visitors arriving from across the region,” added Carla.
Head on over to Market Park on Saturday for a huge selection of plants as well as equipment and information stalls from local organisations, fine food and expert horticultural advice.
Live music will entertain including musicians from the local high school who will play a flute duo and a string quartet to entertain patrons during their visit to the Spring Plant Fair 2016.
Entry is by gold coin donation with a pickup and drop off area available to patrons on the day.
