Police were called to the business on Bridge Street, shortly after 1.30am (Wednesday 27 July 2016), after two people, one armed with a machete, threatened a staff member.
They escaped with cash and cigarettes.
Police have released images of two people who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries into the incident.
The first is depicted in the image as being of Caucasian appearance, wearing a hooded jumper, tracksuit pants and shoes. The person was seen wearing a dark-coloured hat, with the lower part of their face covered
The second is depicted in the image as being of solid build, wearing a red hooded jumper and tracksuit pants. With their face covered by a balaclava or similar.
No one was injured during the incident.
A crime scene was established and police conducted a search of the area.
The pair were last seen heading in the direction of East Street.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
