Winter is upon us but there is still plenty to be involved in.
The surf club will be holding the AGM this Sunday, June 5 at the surf club at 10am. After a somewhat tumultuous season it would be great to see as many members as possible present to help decide the future direction of your club. This will also be the first opportunity to exchange club keys for the new security system being installed. If you want access to the club house in the off-season, you will need a new security card. These will be available from 9.30am Sunday.
The winter training sessions began last Sunday with a good roll up. The all-conquering Master’s squad is offering training on skis and boards for all members/ or intending members but the focus is on those aged 14 to 25. It all happens from 9am at the sailing club, and new people are always welcome. For more information contact Mark Sutton (0415240936).
The Winter Swimming Club, ‘The Hungry Hammerheads’ (not Half-Wits as previously reported) also wet their toes for the first time last week and will be moving to the beach this week at 7.30am. This is an opportunity for anyone to come and enjoy a swim, stay fit and indulge in a warming breakfast after with some good company. For more information contact Craig Borthwick (0434 926-884).
Tim Rogers is currently organising the patrol roster for next season (yes, next season already!), so if anyone would like their names added to the list contact him ASAP.
