2016 marks the 135th year since the very first Bellingen Agricultural Show in 1881 and in keeping with its heritage, traditional entertainment features, including the Pavilion Exhibits; the Grand Parade; Cattle Judging; Sideshow Alley; Woodchop Competitions; Horse Events; Blacksmith demonstrations; Working Dogs; and Old Macdonald’s Farm.

However, in 2016 organisers also have the magician, Troppo Bob; Steve McEwan’s Reptile World; a very entertaining “Partner Carrying” Competition; Cooking Demonstrations; the Mongrel Dog Show; and a great line-up of local talent in the Entertainment Tent.
"In order to keep the Show relevant to our community, we aim to include a number of new events each year and for the 2016 program, we are introducing a Young Farmers’ Challenge and night entertainment featuring the fabulous Folk and Bluegrass band 'The Button Collective'," the Bellinger River Agricultural Society president, Ted Greenwood said.
"Whether you are a long-time resident or new to the area - whether you are young or old - there is something magical about an Agricultural Show. So come along on Saturday 30th April and Sunday 1st May and be part of this fabulous weekend of fun and entertainment. We look forward to seeing you there!"
