The annual Bellingen High School Swimming Carnival was held on Wednesday in very good conditions. There was a great roll-up of Year 7 and Year 8 participants as well as Year 12 - they really enjoyed their final swimming carnival.

While the races were the main events, there were plenty of aquatic activities with novelty activities supplementing the swimming program. All up more than 30 students will represent their school at the Mid North Coast Zone Carnival on Friday, February 26 in Coffs Harbour.
Swimmer of the meet was Talissa Alford who won her age division by winning every race and breaking a few records on the way.

12 years - Orla Carey, Georgia Rose (runner-up)
13 years - Rebecca Hodgson, Aiofe Carey (runner-up)
14 years - Eve Fortin, Brynne Couper (runner-up)
15 years - Aleisha Alford, Ella Bellman (runner-up)
16 years - Katie Thorn, Gaia Malcisi (runner-up)
17 years - Talissa Alford, Alex McNeil (runner-up)
BOYS
13 years - Joe Mitchell, Jacob McBaron (runner-up)
14 years - Jackson Rose, Will Thomas (runner-up)
15 years - Max Shaw, Patrick Steward and Michael White (runners-up)
16 years - Ned Peterson, Nelson Couper (runner-up)
17 years - Jonah Mitchell, Jedd Mitchell (runner-up)
Alos specila mention to the Hocking Junior Girls, who defended their title and won the junior relay for the second year in a row.
