A man will appear in court after a pursuit from Dirty Creek to Moonee Beach, where speeds of up to 190km/h were allegedly reached on Wednesday.

Officers attached to Coffs/Clarence Traffic and Highway Patrol Command attempted to stop a Ford Caprice travelling south along the Pacific Highway about 10am Wednesday. The car allegedly had no number plates displayed.
The Ford failed to stop, a pursuit was started as the car headed towards Coffs Harbour, and the Ford allegedly reached speeds of up to 190km/h.
Road spikes were used on the highway at Moonee Beach; but the Ford continued to drive 1km further before it stopped.
The driver, a 24-year-old man, was arrested at the scene and taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station where he was charged with:
- Police pursuit not stop, drive at speed,
- Drive recklessly or in a speed/ manner dangerous,
- Exceed speed over 45km/h,
- Dishonestly obtain property by deception,
- Larceny,
- Two counts of driving whilst licence expired less than two years,
- Two counts of driving an unregistered vehicle,
- Two counts of driving an uninsured motor vehicle, and,
- Two counts of driving a vehicle on road with tax unpaid.
He was refused bail, to appear at Coffs Harbour Local Court on Thursday, May 28, 2015.
