A man has been extradited from Queensland to face court over the alleged sexual assault of a teenager in Woolgoolga.

Investigators attached to Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command began Strike Force Mediata after two 16-year-old girls and a 15-year-old girl reported being allegedly sexually assaulted by three men at a Woolgoolga address on Thursday, February 5, 2015.
Two men, aged 22 and 24, were arrested by police and charged over the incident in February 2015.
Investigators were able to identify two other men involved, who had left the country.
One of these men, aged 27, returned to Australia on Saturday 4 April 2015 and was arrested by police in Queensland.
He was extradited to NSW on Wednesday, April 8, and charged by detectives with aggravated sexual assault and threat to inflict actual bodily harm with a weapon.
He was refused bail and is due to appear in Byron Bay Local Court on Thursday, April 9.
