There were dozens of local residents on site protecting the land and physically stopping them from completing their work.
One local protester told the Courier-Sun: "With the better weather today there was every chance that Forestry would attempt to complete their toxic spraying program today. There was a call for people to come to site first thing this morning and we had a great turn out - there was no way they could spray today.
"We will be back every day to stop them - we are custodians of our local land and have a moral obligation to stop their toxic programs from polluting our local land and water."
There is a family friendly benefit gig to support the campaign at Number 5 Church St this Sunday from 2pm to 6pm. $10 entry with all money going to support the campaign.
