In a show of strength, a large gathering of near 200 residents lined Bellingen’s Hyde Street, spilled in the park, banged drums, held placards and chanted “no spray, no way”, continuing their campaign to stop aerial spraying in the shire.
Led initially by the Bellingen Green Action Group (BGAC), Wednesday’s protest garnered the support of numerous environmental groups, including the Greens Party and the Bellingen Environment Centre (BEC).
