Our representatives who attended the District Letter ‘M’ Day at Macksville reported an enjoyable and highly amusing day when more than $1700 was raised for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter. Congratulations to Urunga’s Beryl Titmuss who looked splendidly Spanish dressed as a matador and who took out the prize for best dressed.
It will be the final jackpot triples for the year tomorrow and the board will be spun until the jackpot goes off. Immediately following lunch or, if wet at 9.30, the quarterly meeting will be held and as there are important matters to discuss all members are urged to attend.
The year is quickly drawing to a close with our Christmas party to be held at Anchors Wharf on Tuesday, December 9. The fun starts at 11.30 with lunch at 12 o’clock. Cost for the day is $22 and must be paid no later than tomorrow, December 4.
A fun day to wind up the year’s program will be held on Thursday, December 11.
